To be attending a class in a foreign country, instructed in a foreign language, I was certainly positioned outside my comfort zone to say the least.”

What you gained from the experience, professionally and personally
Professionally, I gained the experience of working with international designers. I primarily studied illustration, which turned out to be a good vehicle for travel because my professor had connections all over Europe who we ended up visiting and meeting with. Personally I learned the importance of travel and maintaining an aspect of portability to one’s work.
Future plans
I plan to graduate from Cooper this Spring and pursue my art making. I am taking a year off from school to work in a plaster shop where we are fabricating a James Turrell piece that will appear in Manhattan in the fall, which has been a great experience.
